She was predeceased by : her parents, Ruth Mathieson Murdock and Daniel Sheridan Murdock; and her sister Sheri. She is survived by : her children, David and Dani; her nieces and nephews, Sandy, Blair, Gretchen and Stacy; her husband Chris; and her pet Fiona. She is also survived by her children; her nieces and nephew; her best friends.

As extraordinary as Dulcie's academic career and contributions to UNC's institution and students were, her grace and energy allowed her to be much more.
