We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2025, at the age of 70, Elizabeth Torres Castro in Chapel Hill, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anaxista Guerrero and Francisco Castro; and her husband Margarito Zayas. She is survived by: her children, Lillian Lascano, Francy Sawh, Sandra Torres and Carlos Torres. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, her daughters and grandkids.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bright Funeral Home (405 S Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
