With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Floyd Stoneman Earhart Jr. (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 4, 2025 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Stoneman Earhart, Sr. and Marguerite Meadows Terrell. He is survived by: his wife Margaret McEvoy Earhart; his sons, Joshua Earhart of Mebane, NC and Jason Earhart (Laura) of Pittsburgh, PA; his siblings, Bill Earhart (Sue) of Pittsboro, Bobby Earhart (Nancy) of Haw River, David Jarrell of Pittsboro and Cheryle Pope (Michael) of Durham; and his grandchildren, Joseph Earhart and Shylah Earhart of Mebane.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis.
