She was predeceased by: her father Bennie Edward Newton. She is survived by: her husband Charles Stuart Nelson Sr.; her children, Charles Stuart Nelson, Jr. and Lynnette Nelson Mann (Jeff); her siblings, Janet Newton Ayers (Ron), Carolyn Newton Cohn and Bennie Edward Newton, Jr. (Shelia); and her grandchildren, Meredith Nicole Mann and Jason Tyler Mann. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
