He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Bryant and Elsie Nall Nunnery; his wife Ruby Jean Welch Nunnery; and his daughters, Teresa Jean Nunnery and Mary Ellen Nunnery.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherrie Murphy (Stephen) of Carthage; his granddaughter Kaylee Murphy; his siblings, Ruth Frye, Johnny Nunnery and Chuck Nunnery; and his sister-in-law Leta of Carthage.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fry & Prickett Funeral Home (402 Saunders St, Carthage, NC 28327).
