With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John David Petersen of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Petersen and Betsy Petersen; his wife Carol; his children, Melissa Petersen of Chapel Hill, NC and Andrew Petersen (Katie) of State College, PA; his grandchildren, Alexa and William Petersen; and his caregiver John.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More (940 Carmichael St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514). A reception will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Family Home.
