He is survived by: his aunt Julia Little MacGregor of Lilesville, NC.; his daughters, Sarah and Frances; his wife Terry; John, Saurabh, Jules, Beatrice, Kiran and Mira.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Episcopal Church (8410 Merin Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Historic Oakwood Cemetery (701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27601).
He also made significant contributions to the life of the Episcopal Church, including the book A Dictionary for Episcopalians, which has remained in print in various editions for over 40 years.
