She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Sexcinski and Day; her husband Thomas J. Chegash Sr.; and her grandson Thomas John Chegash III. She is survived by: her children, Thomas John Chegash Jr. (Karen), Tina Marie Oakley (Donald), Diana Costello (Donnie), Daniel Chegash (Linda), Peggy Sue Williams (Charles) and Andrew Chegash (Amy); her grandchildren, Marshall Gowings, Sarah Chegash (Sarah), Bryce Dallmeyer, Nicole Matthews (Shane), Daniel Chegash (Sara), Brandi Williams, Samantha Oakley, Christin Williams (Jacob Smith), Donnie Oakley, Drew Chegash, Summer Quinn (Jacob), Mandy Chegash and Katy Chegash; her great grandchildren, Dakota Chegash, Makayla Favoro, Cooper Smith and Finnley Smith; her sister Bonnie Hill (Eugene); and her nephews, Sean Hill and Patrick Hill.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Walker's Funeral Home (11680 US Hwy 15 501, Chapel Hill, NC 27516). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Thomas More Church (940 Carmichael St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514). A burial will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery (1721 Legion Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27517).
