We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2023, at the age of 90, Loretta Edwards of Chapel Hill, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edwards and Josie Edwards; her son Surina "Sally" Edwards (Walter Edwards); and her siblings, John Henry Edwards, Howard Edwards, Anna Eubanks and Hetter Baldwin.

She is survived by: her son Danny Edwards (Annette) of Chapel Hill, NC; her grandchildren, Josie Edwards of Mebane, NC, Diana Edwards of Burlington, NC, Aileen Atwater of Mebane, NC, Marcella Edwards (Anthony) of Mebane, NC and Lorita Davis of Chapel Hill, NC; and her sisters, Lillie Snipes of Mebane, NC, Callie Clark of New Jersey and Nellie Atwater of Durham, NC. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
