It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lyle Ernest Strassle of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, born in Salamanca, New York, who passed away on November 25, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Gilbert Strassle and Irene Strassle (Green); his former life partner Suzanne Carter Strassle; and his sister Judy Strassle James. He is survived by : his wife Sara Brooks Strassle; his children, Karen Elizabeth Skoglund (John) and Ryan Gilbert Strassle; his stepdaughters, Rachel Catherine Campbell (Chris) and Anna Brooks Creagh (Theo Slater); his grandchildren, Devin and Gwyneth Skoglund; his stepgrandchildren, Adam and Catherine Campbell; and his sister Susan Strassle McPherson.
