In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Naimeh had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Naimeh may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Sabah and Salameh Mukarkar; and her siblings, Helen Mesleh, Sliman Mukarkar, Hanna Mukarkar, Sophie Mukarkar, Olga Oudeh and Miriam Eltarih.
She is survived by: her sons, John L. Jernigan (Jill Lukas) and Frederick A. Jernigan (Sharon Ellison); and her grandson John B. Jernigan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She attained a Bachelor of Social Work from Bluffton College in 1955 and furthered her studies in social work at the Hartford Seminary Foundation.
