He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas Womble and Della Rae Wilcox Womble. He is survived by: his son Neil Thomas Womble, Jr. of Chapel Hill; and his siblings, Tim Womble of Raleigh and Cynthia Womble of Chapel Hill. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
