He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred David Barbee, Sr. and Velcie Rogers Barbee; his brother Alfred David Barbee Jr.; and his grandson Danai Barbee. He is survived by: his sons, Neola Barbee Jones (Stan), Vincent Barbee (Amy) and Stuart Barbee (Eva); his grandchildren, Dakarai Barbee, Tequida Parrish, Vincent Bradley Barbee, Vimbisai Barbee and Batanai Barbee; his great grandchildren, Caleb Parrish, Kameron Barbee, Gavin Parrish, Kavion Barbee, Jacob Parrish and Anaishe Barbee; and his cousins, Lorie Clark and Dolores Clark.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill (11680 US Hwy 15 501, Chapel Hill, NC 27517).
Norman was a proud member of the Strayhorn and Barbee family, whose contributions to the community spanned generations.
