He is survived by: his wife Mirtha Umana-Murray of Chapel Hill; his daughter Kathy Murray; his son-in-law Doug Lee of Charlotte, NC; his children, Stewart Murray (Lora) of California, Debra Murray (Dave Swofford) of Durham, NC and Melissa Murray (Sean Quinn); his grandson Levi Murray of New York; and his great grandchild Marion Murray of Utah.
