We are sad to announce that on May 24, 2022, at the age of 85, Vergie Mae Hackney Arrington of Chapel Hill, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Hackney and Annie Crabtree Hackney; and her husband Bobby Arrington. She is survived by: her daughters, Lee Ann Churchill (Robin) of Carrboro and Amy Williams (Todd) of Pittsboro; her grandchildren, Tori Churchill (Robert Haggerty), Tyler Churchill (Catherine), Josh Womble (Leslie Eades), Jeremy Womble, Blake Schemmer and Blair Schemmer; and her great grandchildren, Serene Womble and Bodhi Womble.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Vergie's memory to Lighthouse Baptist Church 12063 15-501 Highway North Chapel Hill, NC 27517.
