He was predeceased by: his parents, Foy Cowan Burden and Albert Lee Burden; and his wife Jeannette Edgar Burden. He is survived by: his children, James, Carolyn and Barbara; and his grandchildren, Joey, Alex, Rachel Cohn and Meredith Rodick.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations in Al's memory to be made to VIA Health Partners Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte or Cure Alzheimer's Fund.
