Alexander Hamilton Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on May 17, 2026, at the age of 85, Alexander Hamilton (Charlotte, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Eugenia Ray Watson (Genie); his brothers, Donald Davis Cooke and Graham Brown Cooke; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Watson Croft, Sara Swann McLaughlin Watson and Timothy Lent Croft.
He is survived by: his children, Henry Thurston Cooke II (Carla Naegele Cooke) and Katherine Cooke Kerr (William Ralph Kerr); his grandchildren, Christopher Davis Cooke (Lacey Shaffer Cooke), Anne Hamilton Cooke and Caroline Anderson Kerr; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Neal Nuckolls Cooke and Nat Erskine Watson, Jr.. He is also survived by eight nieces; one nephew and a whole lot of great-nieces and nephews.
