We announce the death of Ann Jones Mudge (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nelson Jones and Olive Clifton Spencer Jones; her husband Warren Roland Mudge; and her son-in-law Garry Rice. She is survived by: her daughters, Catherine Spencer Carroll of Charlotte and Susan Carroll Rice of Wake Forest; her sister Betsy Jones Nance of Charlotte; her granddaughters, Hanley Rice (Michael Woody), Kelsey Hymel (Jon) and Ellie Mosteller (Logan); and her great grandchildren, John Grey, William, Bennett, Camellia Woody, Miles, Bowen, Reid Hymel, Hazel-James, Rosemary and Autumn Mosteller.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Matthews Glen Retirement Community (733 Pavilion View Dr, Matthews, NC 28105).
