With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annie Lois Edwards of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Curtis Sweezy, Sr. and Lula Poole; her husband Jerry Thomas Edwards; and her siblings, McClellan Sweezy, Ward Sweezy (Mary Ann), Vernie Lou Philbeck (Claude Ray), Ruth McSwain (Hazel), Franklin Sweezy, Jr. (Joyce) and Brenda Carter (Gary).
She is survived by: her children, Robin Scruggs (Ronnie), Kari Lopiano (Peter) and Kim Kaufhold (Scott); her siblings, Doris Werling (Bill) and Gerald Sweezy (Cornelia); and her grandchildren, Jose Huertas Delpino (Amy), Amanda Neal, Amy Scruggs, Andrew Lopiano (Erin), Jonathan Lopiano (Harper), Matthew Lopiano, Hannah Kaufhold, Abby Kaufhold and Julia Kaufhold. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
