She was predeceased by: her parents, Caldwell Hovis and Nell Hovis; her husband Daniel G. Yates, Sr.; and her grandson Matthew Smith. She is survived by: her children, Laura Y. Smith (Chip), Daniel G. Yates, Jr. (Connie) and Robert Yates (Angela); and her grandchildren, Zach Yates, Kristy McConnell, Lauren Wenger, Andrew Smith, Landen Yates, Bryce Yates and Braedon Yates. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
