With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Hughes Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on September 2, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hughes, Sr. and Alice Hughes; her brother Walter Hughes, Jr.; and her husband Clarence Martin. She is survived by: her son Douglas; her daughter-in-law Barbara Martin of Charlotte, NC; her son Michael Martin of Stony Point, NC; her grandchildren, David (Elisabeth Coats), Victoria Martin, Michael Martin, Jr., Arielle Jackson, Alina Martin, Autumn Martin, Alyssa Martin and Aiden Martin; her great grandchildren, Natasha Hamilton-Martin, Isaiah, Scarlett and Jordan Jackson; and her sister-in-law Mary.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Clark United Methodist Church (104 Bernard Dr, McMinnville, TN 37110). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
