She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Moore and Mabel Moore. She is survived by: her sons, George V. McGimsey III (Linda), Philip E. McGimsey, Sr. (Misty) and Joseph M. McGimsey; her grandchildren, Sarah Turnbull (Kevin), Matthew McGimsey (Sarah), Laura McGimsey (Joe Neagle), Daniel McGimsey (Sarah) and Phil McGimsey, Jr. (Victoria); her great grandchildren, Henry Turnbull, Charlotte Turnbull, Darby McGimsey, Kilian McGimsey, Cathryn McGimsey, Abigail McGimsey, Hayley McGimsey, Charlotte McGimsey, Hannah McGimsey, Levi McGimsey, Olivia McGimsey and Samuel McGimsey; and her sister Kathy Atkinson (Tom) of Marion, NC..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel (10500 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Church of Charlotte or Samaritan's Purse.
