She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ross and Iola Ross; her husband Daniel Buchanan; her son James Spurlin; and her brother Fred Austin.
She is survived by: her sister Barbara Carpenter; her nieces, Lisa Reed (Harry), Elaine Reeves (Donald) and Gail Teague (Claude); and her caregiver Laura.
