It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J. Geter of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Frances Geter; her brothers, Freddy Geter, Charles Geter, Jimmy Geter and Milton Geter; and her sister-in-law Virginia Geter.

She is survived by: her daughters, Frances "Pooh" Geter and Nesbuia "Shebbie" McManus of Middlesex, NC.; her sisters, Bessie Geter-Slater and Shirley Hossian of Charlotte, NC; and her sisters-in-law, Peggy Geter of Hickory, NC and Alvine Geter of Charlotte, NC.
