He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Flood, Sr. and Sarah Flood; his son Ardrey Lee Flood; and his siblings, Lewis William Flood, Grover Flood, Jr., Ira Flood and Ida Mae Flood.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Flood; and his child Joannie Thompson. He is also survived by his family — nineteen grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the A. E. Grier & Sons (2310 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
