He was predeceased by: his parents, George VonCannon and Zilphia VonCannon; and his stepson Brian Kornhauser. He is survived by: his wife Zelda VonCannon of Charlotte, NC.; his children, Chad VonCannon (Kimberly) of Locust and Amy Morton (Jamie) of Stanfield; his stepchildren, Neil Kornhauser (Jane) of Fort Mill and Glen Kornhauser of Chapin; his grandchildren, Lindsey Herring (Josh), Austin Whitley (Maranda), Tucker and Parker VonCannon; his stepgrandchildren, Morgan, Megan, Tyler, Zak, Henry and Dean Kornhauser; his great grandchildren, Ella, Tilley and Sadie; his brother Roger VonCannon (Teresa) of Mt. Pleasant; his nephew Brad VonCannon; and his niece Jessica Anderson.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144-2319).
