He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Ervin and Nora Tilley Riddle; his wife Dorothy Mangum Riddle; his daughter Carolyn Levern Riddle; and his siblings, Bruce Riddle (Helen), William Louis Riddle (Vivian), Stacy Riddle, Clyde Riddle (Mary), Thomas Riddle (Julia) and Joyce Riddle Martin (Ronald).
He is survived by: his daughters, Cecilia Poovey (Steve) of Cedar Grove, NC, Susan Morris (Tim) of Landrum, SC and Sara Toscano (Carlos) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Ronda Williams (Kelly), Justin Morris (Dusty), Jason Poovey, Cory Morris and Kyle Toscano (Bailey); his great grandchildren, Kendall Williams, Jack, Rebecca, Caleb, Carter Morris, Andrew Poovey, Herbert and Sebastian Toscano; and his sister-in-law Barbara Riddle.
In lieu of flowers, it was Cecil's wish that any remembrance be directed to the mission offering/program at Independence Hill Baptist Church, 10220 Independence Hill Rd, Huntersville, NC, 28078 or to Hospice at VIA Health Partners, 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28226.
