He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Walker Sherer and Augusta Head Sherer; his son Keith Sherer; his sister Mary Alice Sherer; and his great grandchild Johnathan Sherer.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Burgin Sherer; his sons, Garry Sherer (Melody Wilkins Sherer) and Robert Sherer (Suzan Johnston Sherer); his grandchildren, Ryan Capps (Justin), Tricia Pou (Zack), Kayla Wade, Michael Sherer and Stacey McCurry (Shaun); and his great grandchildren, Cailey Capps, Austin Capps and Joshua Sherer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Children's Home in honor of Charles and his lifelong dedication to helping others in need.
