With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Greene Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 57. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though David may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his parents, William David Greene, Sr. and Audrey Hubbard Greene of Greer; his wife Deirdre Coffey Greene; his daughter Morgan Hyman (Jacob) of Frisco, Texas; and his siblings, Dale Greene (Jean) of Moore, Brian Greene (Meg) of Simpsonville, Tim Greene (Karen) of Beaufort, Sheri Whorley (Glenn) of Madison Heights, Kris Wood (Robert) of Boiling Springs and Heather Greene of Greer.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
