With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Hampton Huntley (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on April 28, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Elise Brown Huntley; and his parents, Jesse Hampton Huntley and Miriam Hutto Huntley. He is survived by: his sister Susan Huntley Christy (Freddy); his children, Lisa Hodnett Richards (Chris), Kevin David Huntley (Angie), Charles Hampton Huntley (Shawn) and Jeffrey Allen Huntley (Lynne Whitcher); his grandchildren, Hannah Cook (Aaron), Abby Richards, Zac Huntley (Sloane), Emma Miller, Haden Miller, Ava Huntley and Ruby Huntley; and his great grandchild Jones Cook.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in David's memory to Vietnam Veterans of America (vva.org) or to St. Francis United Methodist Church (stfrancischarlotte.org).
