He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Thomas Messig and Marie Dolores Irving Messig. He is survived by: his sister Marcia Messig Olmsted (Richard Olmsted); his daughters, Rachel Messig Graves (Shannon Smith) and Amy Messig Sabo (Eric Sabo); his grandchildren, David and Grace Sabo; and his cousins, Nassau Bahamas and Judith Houghton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
