He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Schlager and Myrtle Schlager (Marsden); and his great grandchild Summer Tatum. He is survived by: his wife Nanette Schlager (Turney); his children, Jason Schlager (Tammy), Justin Schlager and Jocelyn Steves (David); his grandchildren, Chelsea Tatum (Tyler), Ryan Schlager (Morgan), Kimberly Schul (Nicholas), Kyle Schlager, Alexander Schlager, Dylan Schlager, Glenn Steves, Callista Steves, David Joshua Steves and Audrianna Steves; his great grandchildren, Willow, Oaklee Tatum, Arya and Asher Schul; and his siblings, Penny Hayes (Stan), Mike Schlager (Linda) and Bruce Schlager (Tina). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Charlotte Center Cemetery.
