David Simpson Obituary

Though David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his father Billy Jake Simpson Sr.; and his nephew Shea McSwain. He is survived by: his mother Mary Willene Simpson; and his siblings, Cynthia McSwain (Stephen), Billy Jake Simpson Jr. (Vickie) and Jeff Simpson (Julie).

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Chapel (120 College St, Norwood, NC 28128). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia Foundation, local ASPCA, or local Humane Society.
