She was predeceased by: her parents, George Atwell and Betty Atwell; and her sons, Danny Hucks and Tommy Hucks. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy "Mike" Michael Hucks, Sr.; her children, Jimmy Michael Hucks, Jr. (Sheila) and Amy Katherine Johnson (Scott); her grandchildren, Bradley (Jordan), Maximus, Miah, Jonah, Tayland, Savannah, Aurora (Zach), Lee, Adley, MaKayla and Hope; her great grandchildren, Naomi, Kai and Adaline; her sister Nancy Atwell (Jerome); her close friend Dareeta; and her pets, Zoey and Brutus. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn East Cemetery (3709 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104).
