He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Webb Chamblee and Hazel Dickerson Chamblee; his wife Barbara Pickett Chamblee; and his son Donald Vance Chamblee, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Altenpohl (Bill), Diane Gohsman and Laura Chamblee (Tom Kalnick); his sister Annette Cowan (Robert); his daughter-in-law Dawn McGary Chamblee; his grandchildren, Mary Beth Bardin, Hannah Marie Bardin, Frank Belton Joyner, IV, Vance Forsyth Joyner, Grady Liam Joyner, Russell Vance Chamblee, Jade Catherine Chamblee, Norah Dawn Chamblee and Stella Patrice Chamblee; and his nieces, Anita Velis Spence and Virginia Velis.
