George Potter wrote a sympathy message

“Don, Don, Don: A great friend and wonderful neighbor. How lucky we were to have you and Marshia as next-door neighbors for the years. You are one of a very few friends that loved flying and airplanes as much as I do. The fun times spent on our patio just reminiscing about our youth and aviation, sharing WW II books and articles. Now, just think, you are in an altitude not even The Black Bird could reach. ENJOY THE TRIP MY FRIEND. WE MISS YOU. George and Helen Potter”
