He was predeceased by: his parents, Willett B. Mason and Grace V. Curry. He is survived by: his wife Melba Mary Driscoll; and his children, Brian Mason (Carol), Gary Mason (Diane), Jeff Mason, Craig Mason (Sue), Dale Mason (Erin) and Adrienne Stratton (Bill). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services - Weddington Chapel (3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ground 40 Ministries, 303 Dale St, Monroe, NC 28112.
