“I came to know Dorothy as 'Big Momma' at Spring Arbor (Wickshire) in the Steele Creek community. I saw her weekly as I led a time of music, scripture and devotion for the residents. She always had a song in her heart and on her lips, often the old songs I think she grew up singing. She sang everything from God Bless America to My Girl to What a Friend We Have in Jesus with equal enthusiasm! She knew the promises of God and that she would go home some day in glory. I will miss her!!”
