She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Kemmerling; her parents, Thomas Pikney Starnes and Mary Emma Hayes Starnes; and her sisters, Ruth McCain (Knox), Mae McCain (Frank) and Irene Starnes.
She is survived by: her niece Lynn McCain Twitty; her nephew Dennis McCain; and her stepdaughter-in-law Bobbie Kemmerling. She is also survived by many step-grandchildren; and numerous extended nieces and nephews.
