He was predeceased by: his sister Mary Agnes Moeslein; and his granddaughter Tori Bost. He is survived by: his wife Jane of Charlotte; his children, Flynn Harris Jr. (Debbie) of Charlotte, Hayes Harris of Saint John, U. S and Mary Neal Harris of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Bailey Harris of Charlotte and Kristen Donovan (Andrew) of Atlanta; and his great grandchildren, Brooks and Cooper Donovan.

He was active in the N.C. and Charlotte Dental societies and the N.C. Dental Foundation.
