He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughters, Elizabeth Frances Mitchell of Charlotte and Jessica Anne Mitchell of Charlotte; and his siblings, Douglas Mitchell (Becky) of New Bern, Mark Mitchell (Mindy) of Eugene, Ore. and Martha Mitchell Perry of New Bern. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
