With sadness, we share the passing of Eileen Hurley Dewenter of Charlotte, North Carolina. Eileen, born on April 14, 1927, passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward D. Hurley and Marie B. Hurley; her husband John Edwin Dewenter; and her siblings, Mary, Kathryn, Edward, John and Steve.

She is survived by: her children, Denise (Bruce), Michael, John and Kathleen; her significant other Boston; and her pet Barney. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann Church (612 Wabash Ave, Lafayette, IN 47905). A burial will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at the St. Boniface Cemetery (318 N 9th St Rd, Lafayette, IN 47904).
