With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Wentz Mathis (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on September 21, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Elizabeth departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Elizabeth. Though Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Bartlett; her children, Tracy Watson and Mike Bartlett; her grandson Jonathan Watson; and her siblings, Edna Hall, Ellen Kiker and John Wentz.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest making a donation to The Little Flower Assisted Living in her honor.
