She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Waddell and Sarah Ruth Herring; and her siblings, Jimmy Herring, Jackie Peterson and Vivian Faw.
She is survived by: her close friend Edison Dwight Gunter, Sr.; her sons, Jeffrey Whitlow (Denise) of Fort Mill and Mark Whitlow (Deborah) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Whitlow (Daniel), Emily Whitlow-Stolba (Frank), Bayley Huntley (Thomas), Gary Whitlow (Sydney), Elizabeth Whitlow (Landon), Eric Whitlow (Megan) and Curtis Whitlow; and her sister Waddell Thompson (Larry) of Rock Hill, SC.. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
