He was predeceased by: his parents, June Scarborough and Alice Scarborough. He is survived by: his wife Betty Brandon Scarborough of Shreveport, Louisiana.; his children, J. F. Scarborough III (Betsy Miller), Brandon C. Scarborough and Elizabeth S. Vidon (Philippe Vidon); his grandchildren, Madison Vidon and Fielding Scarborough IV; and his pet Gypsy.
