She was predeceased by: her husband Johnny Gene Austin Sr.; her sons, Johnny Gene Austin Jr. and Robert L. Austin Sr.; and her friend Jean Gillis. She is survived by: her daughter Tracy Perciful (David); her daughter-in-law Terry Austin Sullivan (Tom); her grandsons, Brock Austin (Anna), Bart Austin (Julie), William Perciful (Angela), Brian Austin and Treston Maurer (Samantha); and her niece Suellyn Enright. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation in Frances's honor to: Council on Aging in Union County or RideAbility Therapeutic Riding.
