It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Jane Stewart of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Joseph Walsh and Frances Pauline Cahill Walsh; and her husband Lester Stewart. She is survived by : her sons, Lester Stewart Jr. (Kristi) of South Dakota and John J. Stewart (Cheryl) of Levittown, PA; her sister Joan Galant (Robert) of Fort Mill; her grandchildren, Lester III (Jennifer), Sara Harris (Brandon), John (Amber), Peter (Jamie) and Katherine; and her great grandchildren, Elliott Stewart, Oskar Stewart, William Stewart, Gradyn Harris, Adalyn Harris, Theo Stewart, Sam Stewart, Tristanie Stewart, Emilee Stewart and Alex Stewart. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davis Chapel (1003 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 10:30 AM at 725 Deese St, Monroe, NC 28112.
