She was predeceased by: her parents, James Miles Doby and Annie Laura Clark Doby; her husband Mac; her brother James Willard Doby; her niece Rachel Doby Pittman; and her friend Betty Boyd.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura McNair Cummings (Milton) of Smithfield, Virginia and Leslie McNair Thomas (Bill) of Troutman; and her grandchildren, Sean, Grant Cummings, Gray and Natalie Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Francis's honor to the children's ministries at Avondale Presbyterian Church, 2821 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28209.
