It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Francis Robicsek Md (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on April 3, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Charlotte; his wife Lilly Robicsek; his children, Steven Robicsek (Melissa Vu), Susanne Robicsek, John-Christopher Robicsek (Caroline Robicsek) and Frances Robicsek Furr (Charlie Furr); and his grandchildren, Lilly Robicsek, James Carlton Furr, Anna Robicsek, Frances Elizabeth "Liza" Furr and Heidi Robicsek. He was also cherished by his children and grandchildren.

A candle has been lit

“In loving memory of Francis Robicsek Md, Someone so special will not be forgotten. I will never forget the first time I saw Dr Robicsek,he was charging out of the Dixon Heart unit and my nursing instructor telling our nursing class from CPCC that was the famous cardiovascular surgeon at Charlotte Memorial.I will always remember his glasses pitched on his nose looking over his glasses scarring us to death. Mrs Kiser was just wonderful with us 1974-1975.Good years”

“RIP You were an amazing person and an awesome doctor. I was your scrub nurse many times and saw you save many lives at Good Samaritan Hospital in 1961-62. God Blessed this world with you. We will never ever forget you. You taught me the true meaning of dedication and commitment. We worked 7pm Fri.-11am Sat., administered 15 pints of blood and the patient survived. A miracle !!! I thank God for you everyday. .”

“I have known Dr. Robicsek since 1960. I will never forget his kindness towards me while I worked at the clinic. He was always available to listen and offer help when needed. He was wonderful to work for but more than that, he was a dear friend. I was blessed to work at the Sanger Clinic. Over the years, I had the privilege of meeting his mother, wife and children who treated me as family. Dr. Robicsek was not only a brilliant surgeon, but he was a family man. He loved them well. I will miss him.”
