He is survived by: his brother Ben Hawfield, Jr. (Linda); his niece Amy Hawfield Watson; his great-nephew Benjamin James Watson; his great-niece Elizabeth Githens Watson; his niece Lindsay Hawfield Jones (Brian); his great-niece Ella Kee Jones; his great-nephew William Hawfield Jones; his cousin Horace Byrum; and his close friends, David Thompson, Tori Person, Ronnita Christian and Dakwan Porter. He is also survived by numerous cousins on both sides of his family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Church (5801 Pineville-Matthews Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226).
